Touch
Effect:
A magician shuffles a deck of cards and asks a spectator to pick any card. He then takes that card and points it at the spectator, showing them the card. He then touches the card and he can now seem to guess what the card is.
Method:
Have a deck of cards in your pocket. Then find a spectator and take the cards out of your pocket and begin to shuffle the cards in front of the spectator. Ask the spectator to also shuffle the cards. Then you spread the cards and ask the spectator to pick any card. You then put down the deck of cards or put them away in your pocket. Take the card out of their hand, keeping the card faced at them so you can’t see it, but they can. You now hold the card with your fingers on the top and your thumb at the bottom to support this. With your opposite hand, use your fore finger (first finger) to touch the card in the middle. When you do this bend the card towards you. This is the secret move. When you bend the card towards you, you will see the pip on the bottom of the card and therefore you will know their card. Pretend to concentrate on their card and then tell them what their card is. They will be amazed when you seem to know what their card is. If they think you forced the card upon them do the trick again to convince them.
