Pinkey Break To Double Lift
Effect:
You show the spectator a card, turn it over and show them it again. When you do, the card has completely changed.
Method:
Hold the deck in your primary hand. When ever I say your primary hand, it is the hand which you feel most comfortable holding the deck with. Thumb off the top card with your non-primary hand while holding the deck with your primary hand. Then gesture with the card in your non-primary hand. At the same time as doing this you will be thumbing off the next card on the deck, with your primary hand while holding the deck, and catching a pinky break under the card. For those who don't know what a pinky break is, it is a little break in the cards where your little finger is placed at the back of the cards. It is used a lot in False Cuts and Shuffling. The reason you are gesturing with the non-primary hand with the card in, is to create miss-direction. They will follow the card and when they do you can make the pinky break unnoticed. Also another good thing to do when you do the pinky break is to tilt the hand as this hides the move even more. Then you place the card in the non-primary hand back on the deck and on top of the other card which has your little finger underneath. Then you lift up 2 cards as 1. This is called the Double Lift. You turn the 2 cards over as 1 and show the audience the card, and then you turn it back over and place it back on the deck. Now when you lift up the top card it will be different and your audience will see that the card has completely changed into a different card.
This trick will take a while to perfect so you can do it really smooth and without having to think about doing it.
Once you get it really good you will be fooling everyone.
